NaNo day 30: and there was much rejoicing!

I finished the darn thing!

Ahem. That is to say, I got 94,380 words for NaNo this year. Not the 100k I was aiming for. Certainly not the 150k I was dreaming about. But I got something much cooler than wordcount, which was the spectacularly glowy feeling of typing END at the bottom of my manuscript. Danica, queen of procrastination, of starting new novels instead of finding middles and ends, and ooh look a squirrel, has now finished two novels!

Du bist ein guter Lehrer, Meister Frollo. . . .

I am bounce off the walls happy right now, besides being lactose intolerant and filled with way too much mac and cheese. Not only am I finally taking German (though getting money worked out to buy my textbooks is still in the works), but I also finally found the complete score for Der Glöckner von Notre Dame!! So I now have all the proper spelling and (somewhat) translations for all those parts in the songs that I've memorized by ear! I am so so so very happy about this. I want to learn most of the songs in German, because not only will that probably help my pronunciation/comprehension for my class, it'll also be completely awesome to be able to burst into "Das Feuer der Hölle" at random times throughout the day.

Internet!

I was just reading my last post, and realized I had to put a new one up here. We have fast internet!!! I'm so excited! Though I still won't be looking up the Burger King anytime soon. :) I'm too busy going on Hulu to watch Ghost Hunters and House anyway.
