Don't you just hate those days where you forget you have something to do? I think I subconsciously set the tempo of my days based on whether I have to do something in the evening or not. Today, I forgot I have a class at 5:30, so I've been taking some time getting things done for my business, thinking I'll have the evening to relax a bit. Well, there went that plan. And now my drive to do anything work-related is faltering, since I know I won't get home 'til nine, and will only have about an hour before my self-inflicted bedtime. And I have to take the non-air-conditioned car again. Ick.
This is my writing blog, but it's also where I come to complain about random things, like evil kittens biting me. ~~~ Posts will invariably include something dealing with writing, photography, gardening, or yarn.

Kill me now?
Every time I judge a contest on allpoetry, I vow to never do it again, for the simple reason that NO ONE WHO ENTERS MY CONTEST KNOWS WHAT A POEM IS!!!! Ahem. Examples.

The King Should Be Dethroned!
Okay, Burger King's site for their transformers game really sucks. Not because it's lame, or not flashy enough; quite the opposite. The damn thing won't load!
I have incredibly slow internet. It's not dial-up, but not much faster. And I'm finding it increasingly difficult nowadays to get anything done, mainly because the world at large seems to think that everyone has high-speed interent. The Transformers game site (bktransformers.com) wouldn't load past the "enter your birthdate" thing in Firefox or Internet Exploder (oops, explorer, though the number of times that "explorer" seems to get lost makes me think he really needs an internet map). I finally had to do it in Opera, which it worked in, strangely enough.
But once I got to the site, it took about ten to fifteen minutes for each code I entered, just to load its stupid video of the tranformer-king smashing through a Burger King store and throwing an armored car at the screen (or whatever he was doing, it was hard to tell from the choppy animation that my slow internet created). And all that was, of course, just to tell me I hadn't won, please try again. I didn't really expect to win. I just wanted to enter the codes for the hell of it, seeing as I'm due for some good luck after dislocating my shoulder yesterday. But I don't think I'll be entering again, even if I do get more codes, just because it nearly crashed my computer just to load their stupid flash player thing (note: it was also impossible to load their basic site bk.com).
Note to Burger King: if you pay more attention to your lowly peasants, and maybe include a low-intensive feature so those of us with slow internet can actually load your site, you may be able to stave off a recreation of the French Revolution. As for me, I'm off to sharpen my guillotine. . . .
(CYA: None of this is meant as a threat to Burger King stores, its affiliates, associates, or management. It is only for the Burger King himself, him and his creepy smile.)

I. Hate. Money. Actually, I hate not having any. And how ridiculously expensive tuition is.
So I can't go to Westminster this semester. They want $12,000 for 13 credit hours. And I know half the reason the cost is so much is my own fault for getting my stupid ass on academic probation, but that's still just ridiculous. They basically offer NO financial aid for those who are struggling with their grades. Thanks a lot, school that screwed up my schedule and made me depressed and not wanting to go to class in the first place. I love you too.
So I'm not happy right now. I've been planning this whole time to move out in two weeks (because they basically didn't inform me about this until about a week ago, when I had to call in to ask for my account statement), and just now to find out I can't afford it and I'm going to have to stay at home. Which I don't really mind. . . but I wanted to go to the dorms for another year, to hang out with Katelyn-tachi and the rest of everyone I know up there. And now I can't take those cool anthropology classes either.
So I'm basically stuck at SLCC now. It's not too horrible, but it's still not Westminster. Jeez, I'm such an elitist now. :P At least I can get a job and a car now, and maybe help clean the house up. Sigh.

I. Hate. People. And improved sites. Which have people at them.
A never mind to that last post. The only good thing about improved sites is the spigots. Everything else sucks. Like icky biffies that are never pumped (going in the bushes is so much better). And other people, who are often worse than unpumped biffies.

At least it's something
Yay, I have one other thingy in my poll. Cheese sauce. I basically just wanted the poll so I could have a poll. It looks spifty.
